integrated neurology
about integrated neurology
A novel approach to treating dysfunctions, integrated neural therapy addresses the peripheral, central, and motor nervous system as a collective to provide for the most comprehensive, long-lasting results.
The flow of information through the nervous system can be broken down into three basic steps.
1. Sensory receptors take in a wide variety of information from the periphery such as temperature, pressure, touch, vibration, itch, nociception, etc.
2. This information makes it way up to the central nervous system comprised of the brain, brain stem, and spinal cord where it is processed and interpreted.
3. Ultimately, conclusions based on these data analyses are enacted via the motor system and carried out by muscles, organs, and glands.
While many traditional therapeutic methods serve to only address one or two of these three steps in hopes that the others will correct themselves, integrated neural therapy fully addresses the dysfunctional components in each of the three stages themselves as well as a collective process when working together. This provides for the most thorough treatment possible, allowing for the full spectrum of dysfunction and compensatory patterns to be addressed from both a top-down and bottom-up approach.
This therapy is highly successful in addressing a wide range of dysfunctions including:
Musculoskeletal pain
Sprains and strains
Postural imbalances
Nerve entrapments
Digestive issues
Light and sound sensitivity
Emotional trauma and somatic disorders
