About kim
I have always had a passion for restoring and maximizing the efficiency of the human body. I believe that the best approach to healing is an integrative one, where the physical, emotional, and chemical components of health are considered both individually and as a collective whole. My career is continually evolving to provide the most cutting-edge, individualized treatments possible for each and every client. I blend my education from various contexts, holding a MS in Applied Neuroscience from King’s College London, a massage therapy license, a specialized certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and a diploma in personal training specializing in post-rehab needs. I have also completed numerous additional functional neurology courses, Active Release Therapy® trainings, Rocktape® instruction, and advanced nutritional studies.
I combine multiple techniques in a given session that range from functional neurology methodologies, to manual therapy at the level of the lymphatic and musculoskeletal system, to rehabilitative taping, to corrective exercises, in order to relieve pain and return you to proper movement. As the nervous system is constantly in flux, every session is regarded as a moment for reassessment and a unique opportunity for growth. Many of my clients are looking for a supplement to conventional medicine or have explored traditional avenues of treatment such as physical therapy, chiropractic care, and massage therapy, yet continue to suffer from lingering symptoms.
In my free time I enjoy baking cakes/cupcakes/cookies (often for clients), cuddling with my dog and spoiling him with ice cream sundaes, lazy weekend mornings at the farmer’s market, and reading through stacks of recently released research studies with a latte in hand.
