WHO DO YOU WORK WITH?

Anyone and everyone. I have years of experience working with people of all ages including babies, infants, teenagers, and seniors. I have even worked with animals including cats and dogs!

WHAT TYPES OF CONDITIONS DO YOU TREAT?

Most all conditions can be greatly improved if not fully treated. To see some of the most common conditions I encounter visit the "What We Do" page. If you're curious about a specific condition, please contact me and I'd be happy to talk with you personally.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Please wear loose fitting clothing like you would wear to the gym. No denim, sweats, or thick sweaters. There are changing facilities available for your use if you need to bring a change of clothes. For the consideration of others, we ask that you avoid wearing strongly scented perfumes/colognes/lotions as well.

how long is each session?

First time appointments are 70 minutes, and all subsequent appointments are 50 minutes in length.

WHAT SHOULD I expect during the session?

After taking a thorough history and performing some form of a visual and/or palpatory assessment, the remainder of the session will consist of ascertaining the health of the communication between the central nervous system and the area of complaint through various forms of dynamic muscle testing. Expect very gentle localized stretching of ligaments, pressure, light touch, vibration, pricking, etc. to stimulate and assess for sensory receptors that may be hypersensitive and dysfunctional following acute and/or chronic trauma. All diagnostics and treatments are extremely low impact and should elicit only mild to negligible discomfort. Other modalities such as manual therapy, rehabilitative taping, low level laser therapy, and corrective exercise may also be incorporated depending on your specific complaint.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO WORK?

This varies greatly from person to person as no single case is alike. Numerous factors including chronicity versus acute onset, daily habits, posture, movement patterns, diet, hormones, emotional stress, sleep patterns, and much more all impact the rate of recovery. Many clients notice positive changes after the first 1-5 sessions. On average most conditions are usually under control within 3-5 appointments, barring any underlying structural, chemical, or genetic complications.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

We do not accept insurance. however, we are very happy to provide you with a receipt of services rendered. Some clients have had success in the past obtaining reimbursement through their HSA in cases where massage therapy has been covered and/or in cases related to auto or work-related injuries.
